Stats: Average EU-harmonised Inflation at 3.9 percent Y-o-Y in November

Bratislava, 17 December (TASR) - Year-on-year (y-o-y) inflation measured by the EU's Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) stood at 3.9 percent in November, reaching the lows seen in April and October this year, the Statistics Office reported on Wednesday.
In a monthly comparison, consumer prices measured by HICP rose by 0.3 percent in November, which was higher than in the previous three months.
Concerning monthly developments, prices rose in seven of the 12 monitored segments, with the growth ranging from 0.1 percent in other goods and services to 1.7 percent in transport. Conversely, three segments posted lower prices m-o-m, with food and non-alcoholic beverages going down by 0.1 percent, alcoholic beverages and tobacco by 0.2 percent, as well as furniture and household maintenance by 0.4 percent.
In a y-o-y comparison, prices grew in all the 12 segments, with the increases ranging from 0.9 percent in food and non-alcoholic beverages to 9.0 percent in hotels and restaurants.
The average harmonised inflation rate for the 12-month period ending in November 2025 amounted to 4.2 percent.
