Bratislava, 11 December (TASR) - President Peter Pellegrini acted within his constitutional powers when he decided not to call a referendum on lifting sanctions against Russia, the President's Office's communications department told TASR on Thursday, adding that the Constitutional Court rejected a constitutional complaint against the head of state's decision, which was submitted to it by the referendum petition committee.

Bratislava, 11 December (TASR) - The Supreme Court ruled on Thursday on the appeal filed by Justice Minister Boris Susko (Smer-SD) in the case of the accused former head of the Special Prosecutor's Office (USP) Dusan K. [name abbreviated due to legal reasons], overturning the Supreme Court's 2022 ruling as well as the 2021 ruling of the Specialised Criminal Court (STS), Supreme Court spokeswoman Alexandra Vazanova has confirmed for TASR, adding that STS should rule on the case again.
