Zilina Declares Emergency Situation Due to Unknown Substance Leak in City Centre

Zilina, 4 December (TASR) - The local authorities in Zilina declared an emergency situation due to the leak of an unknown substance into the air in the city centre on Thursday morning, TASR has learnt from an announcement posted on social networks. The Regional Directorate of the Fire and Rescue Corps (HaZZ) in Zilina confirmed to TASR that responders are evacuating the Moyzesova Street and the Daniela Dlabaca Street. "The situation is currently under control. The police and firefighters are on site, securing the surrounding area and carrying out measurements," stated city spokesperson Zuzana Ondrasova, adding that local authorities are gathering any information about the substance and its origin. jrg
