Bratislava, 3 December (TASR) - The opposition Progressive Slovakia (PS) party doesn't believe that Parliament will discuss the planned no-confidence motions in ministers next week, stated MP Zuzana Stevulova (PS) at a press conference on Wednesday.
"I don't believe that it will happen next week, and I don't believe it because this governing coalition, as evidenced by last week's events in Parliament, is completely cut off from reality and can't even push through its own agenda," said Stevulova.
The MP added that Wednesday marks a year since the motion to dismiss Interior Minister Matus Sutaj Estok (Voice-SD) was filed. "He's unable to face his no-confidence motion, unable to come here to this Parliament, stand up, face criticism and respond to our reservations and our criticism. At the same time, he's unable to tell his coalition partners to put this item on the agenda for a regular meeting and to come and defend him," she stated.
During Tuesday's vote, MPs postponed the debate on opposition motions to oust several ministers and the government as a whole from Wednesday to next week. The motions have been postponed and undiscussed over a long period.
