Police Operation 'Aprum' Underway in Trnava and Banska Bystrica Regions

Bratislava, 24 November (TASR) – Police are conducting operations in the Trnava and Banska Bystrica regions as part of an action codenamed Aprum, targeting individuals involved in an organised group that is believed to have committed multiple property and violent crimes in the past, TASR learnt from spokesperson for the Presidium of the Police Corps Roman Hajek on Monday. "The operation focuses on documenting criminal activity and securing individuals operating within an organised group that is suspected of having carried out various property and violent offences in different parts of Slovakia," Hajek said. He specified that the intervention is being carried out by the anti-crime unit of the Office for Combating Organised Crime, in cooperation with rapid response police units from Bratislava and Zilina. "House searches, evidence collection and the detention of suspects are currently taking place at several locations. Further information will be provided as soon as the procedural situation allows," he added. mf
