Slovakia Borrows €433 million in November Government Bond Auction

Bratislava, 18 November (TASR) - Slovakia borrowed €433 million in November in what will probably be the final auction of government bonds to take place this year, with total demand from investors reaching €758 million, the Debt and Liquidity Management Agency (ARDAL) announced on Tuesday.
The average yield in accepted bids ranged between 2.3 percent p.a. and 4.2 percent p.a.
Slovakia obtained the highest sum (€150 million) from a sale of bonds with a maturity date in 2049. The average accepted yield on maturity stood at 4.08 percent p.a.
Another auction of bonds maturing in 2036 brought in an additional €100 million, with the average accepted yield amounting to 3.53 percent p.a.
The highest average yield of 4.2 percent was recorded in an auction of bonds maturing in 2047, which ARDAL sold for €88 million.
Finally, bonds maturing in 2028 were accepted at the lowest average yield of 2.29 percent, bringing €95 million into state coffers.
Slovakia borrowed €499.3 million in the previous government bond auction in October, with total demand from investors almost three times oversubscribed. The average yield in accepted bids ranged between 2.84 percent p.a. and 4.12 percent p.a.
