BRIEF: Government: Visnove Tunnel Should Be Opened by End of 2025

Visnove, 29 October (TASR) - The D1-motorway section between Lietavska Lucka and Dubna Skala (Zilina region), including the Visnove tunnel, should be opened to drivers by the end of this year, according to a resolution approved by the cabinet at its away-from-home session in Visnove on Wednesday. By this resolution, the government has obliged Transport Minister Jozef Raz (a Smer-SD nominee) to ensure that construction work on the D1-motorway section continues and is completed in line with the schedule and financial framework, with the road expected to be opened to traffic based on a common acceleration of work by the end of 2025.
