Bratislava, 25 October (TASR) - Our ideological disputes have been settled following the constitutional change and the Voice-SD party wants to focus on the people and regions in the future, party leader and Interior Minister Matus Sutaj Estok tod a news conference on Saturday, aimed at an evaluation of their two years in the government. Sutaj Estok criticised the previous government that was in power between 2020 and 2023. According to him, it only showed its "amateurism" and the total disintegration of the state. "We won't be dealing with ideological conflicts for the next two years, we have already resolved them. We clearly stand on the right side, there are only two genders (...). Now that we have these ideological disputes settled, we must work for the people, bring them results," noted Sutaj Estok. Within his performance, Sutaj Estok highlighted the steps taken by the Interior Ministry in the area of security and migration. He claims that he managed to halt illegal migration. "Today, the police have their hands free, special investigation teams have been established to investigate everything that happened in 2020-2023 (...). It may take it long to justice, but believe me, the results will come and those guilty will be held accountable," he said. Sutaj Estok praised the work of each of the ministers for Voice-SD, stating that education and health care sectors were priorities. The Voice-SD leader further said that he wants to focus on resuming relations with the Czech Republic. "I met Andrej Babis, he is absolutely ready to talk about key issues that are important for both Slovakia and the Czech Republic. I believe that the Visegrad Four (V4 - Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland) will be reformed so that it is a strong force in Europe, and that we'll bring back some common sense there, including the fight against ETS2 emission permits, which are a huge problem for Slovakia (...). We will rather sue the European Commission than take these senseless measures," he added. ko
