Doctor from Partizanske Charged with Accepting Bribe

Partizanske/Bratislava, 24 October (TASR) – An investigator from the anti-corruption unit of the Office for Combating Organised Crime of the Police Corps Presidium has charged a doctor from the hospital in Partizanske (Trencin region) with the offence of accepting a bribe, TASR learnt from a police post on social media on Friday. The police clarified that the man had been charged at the beginning of October. According to their findings, the doctor allegedly accepted a cash payment of €5,000 on 10 August 2024 with respect to his professional duties. “If found guilty, the accused faces a prison sentence of one to five years,” the police added. mf
