Bratislava, 21 October (TASR) - Candidate for Bratislava mayor Martin Winkler handed over to the Interior Ministry on Tuesday more than 15,000 signatures necessary for the setting up of a city political party called Danube, describing the emerging party as an alternative for those who have had no one to vote for so far, TASR was told Martin Winkler's team. "We're an alternative for all those who no longer want to choose between bad and worse, but want real change based on common sense and managerial competence," said the candidate. According to his team, the party will organise an opening congress after the registration is confirmed and then present its programme, leaders and priorities. According to Winkler's team, the collection of 15,000 signatures proves that the residents of Bratislava are eager for an alternative to the current way of running the city. They criticised the growing debt of the municipality, traffic jams and the lack of parking spots. am
