ARDAL: Slovakia Borrows Almost €0.5 billion in October's Government Bond Auction

Bratislava, 20 October (TASR) - Slovakia has borrowed €499.3 million in October's auction of government bonds, with total demand from investors more than three times oversubscribed, the Debt and Liquidity Management Agency (ARDAL) reported on Monday.
ARDAL sold four kinds of bonds with maturity dates spanning from 2031 to 2047. The average yield in accepted bids ranged between 2.84 percent p.a. and 4.12 percent p.a.
Slovakia obtained the highest sum (€191.3 million) from a sale of bonds with a maturity date in 2035. The average accepted yield on maturity stood at 3.29 percent p.a.
Another auction of bonds maturing in 2031 brought in an additional €115 million, with the average accepted yield amounting to 2.84 percent p.a.
An auction of bonds maturing in 2047 brought €100 million into state coffers at the highest average yield, reaching 4.12 percent p.a.
The state gained the lowest sum from bonds with a maturity date in 2036. Bonds worth €93 million were sold at an average accepted yield of 3.42 percent.
Slovakia borrowed €512 million in the previous government bond auction in September, with total demand from investors more than four times oversubscribed. The average yield in accepted bids ranged between 3.18 percent p.a. and 4.04 percent p.a.
