Kalinak: Dual Projects Also Include Zvolen and Rimavska Sobota Bypasses

Bratislava, 14 October (TASR) - Bypasses around the towns of Zvolen and Rimavska Sobota (both Banska Bystrica region) are among the upcoming dual-use projects, meaning that they can be used both for civil and military purposes, stated Defence Minister Robert Kalinak (Smer-SD) following a meeting of the parliamentary committee for defence and the budget on Monday (13 October). The next step could be preparing project documentation for continuing the D1 motorway from Kosice to Michalovce (Kosice region). "These are three specific big projects that are clear. The dual projects that are already being implemented are also known, that is, the hospital in Bratislava, the hospital in Presov," added the minister. am/df
