Traffic Accident in Banska Bystrica Region Claims Six Lives

Bratislava, 8 October (TASR) - Six people were killed in a traffic accident that took place on the I/66 road in Banska Bystrica region on Wednesday, the Banska Bystrica regional police posted on a social network. Six fatalities and one injured person were reported at the scene. "Further information on the accident will be provided later. Police are documenting the scene, the I/66 road is completely impassable at the moment," noted the police. The Emergency Medical Service Operational Centre posted on a social network that the emergency line 155 received a call about a head-on collision of two passenger vehicles in Brezno district. "We sent three ambulances of the emergency medical service to the place. Unfortunately, we have six casualties reported from the scene. One person was transported to hospital after initial treatment by paramedics," said the operational centre. am
