Bratislava, 28 September (TASR) - 'Slovakia' party leader and MP Igor Matovic has called on Progressive Slovakia (PS) leader Michal Simecka to rule out any post-election cooperation with Voice-SD. If this doesn't happen, the party will hold a key press conference on Wednesday (1 October), Matovic told a news conference on Sunday. "I would like to call on him as the opposition leader to definitively rule out any collaboration with Voice-SD. "If he can do that, we won't hold a press conference on Wednesday, which would be crucial. If he fails to do so, I'm inviting you for a press conference that will decide the next election," said Matovic. Matovic noted that the electoral term is almost halfway through and the opposition should have a clear plan. According to him, people expect hope and a leader who tells them what the plan is, and not a three-day "lynching" of the 'Slovakia' party. Matovic criticised the fact that the opposition parties categorically ruled out cooperation, or even the thought of cooperation with 'Slovakia' party following the vote on the constitutional amendment. He suggested them to look at the country's interest, since it's necessary to find an alternative to the current government. At the same time, he recalled that when PS voted with Smer-SD to scrap the Feast of the Virgin Mary of the Seven Sorrows, his party didn't publicly accuse him of betrayal and didn't rule him out from cooperation. ko
