Ruzomberok, 22 September (TASR) - Another unexpected landslide has occurred on the Hubova-Ivachnova D1 motorway section in Zilina region and has had an impact on one bridge structure, stated Transport Minister Jozef Raz (a Smer-SD nominee) in the town of Prievidza (Trencin region) on Monday, adding that the landslide has delayed the opening of this motorway section by several months. "The technical solution is slowly emerging, but yes, it will mean that the Ruzomberok bypass will probably not be built this year. My colleagues are working intensively on it. I think that we already have a solution, but yes, it will take a while," said Raz. The Hubova-Ivachnova D1 motorway section is almost 15 kilometres long and includes 19 bridges and three junctions. It also includes the Cebrat tunnel with a length of 3.6 kilometres. The motorway section will form a bypass around the town of Ruzomberok, and after completion it will connect to the four-lane motorway to Kosice. The motorway near Ruzomberok will save motorists 16 minutes when compared to driving on a first class road. am/df
