New Exhibition in Upper Nitra Museum in Prievidza Dedicated to Ludovit Stur

Prievidza, 19 September (TASR) - A new exhibition at the Upper Nitra Museum in Prievidza (Trencin region) is dedicated to the fate, ideas and work of Ludovit Stur and his followers in the context of the time of their activities, with an emphasis on the achieved results of their efforts at national revival and a reflection of the revolution in the Upper Nitra region. The museum prepared the exhibition called 'Ludovit Stur and His Era' to mark the 210th anniversary of the birth of the leader of the Slovak national revival movement, politician, writer and codifier of a standard Slovak language. Those interested in the exhibition can visit it until October 28. "A text-visual collection of information about Stur, the Stur movement members and the era of their existence, organised into thematic units, is supplemented with original documents from the first half of the 19th century," stated the museum on its website. ko/df
