Nitra, 17 September (TASR) – Following a recent cyber incident, Jaguar Land Rover continues to work around the clock to restore its global applications in a controlled and secure manner, communications manager at the Nitra plant Katarina Chlebova told TASR on Wednesday, adding that the company is cooperating with external cyber-security experts and law-enforcement bodies. On Tuesday (16 September), the carmaker's management informed colleagues, suppliers and partners that the current production stoppage had been extended until Wednesday, 24 September. "We've made this decision because our forensic analysis of the incident is still ongoing. At the same time, we're considering the individual phases of a controlled restart of operations, which will take some time," said Chlebova. The carmaker also confirmed that, based on its ongoing investigation, it's possible that some data may have been affected, and it's therefore informing the relevant regulatory authorities. "Our forensic analysis is continuing at an intense pace, and if we find that the data of specific individuals has been affected, we'll contact them accordingly," she stated. Jaguar Land Rover's production was disrupted by a large-scale cyber-attack more than two weeks ago. The company had to shut down its systems to minimise the extent of the damage. am/df
