Stats: Nominal Salaries Rose Y-o-Y across All Sectors in July

Bratislava, 12 September (TASR) - Nominal monthly salaries increased year-on-year (y-o-y) in all ten monitored sectors in July, with the pace ranging from 3.3 percent in selected market services to 11.7 percent in pubs and restaurants, with six sectors posting growth of 6 or more percent, the Statistics Office reported on Friday. When considering inflation, real salaries increased y-o-y in eight of the ten sectors, with the most rapid growth of 7 percent being observed in pubs and restaurants. Increases in the remaining sectors ranged between 0.2 percent in wholesale up to 2.5 percent in the car sales and repairs. Conversely, a drop in real salaries continued in selected market services, at 1.1 percent in July. In the first seven months of 2025, meanwhile, salaries increased y-o-y in nominal terms across all ten monitored sectors, and in real terms in nine of them. Real salary growth ranged from 0.1 percent in wholesale to 4.7 percent in pubs and restaurants. Conversely, real salaries dropped by 1.3 percent when compared to last year in selected market services. ko/df
