Bratislava, 11 September (TASR) – Police investigated a bomb threat at a hotel in the Ruzinov district of Bratislava on Thursday but didn't find any explosive device, Bratislava region police spokesperson Lukas Pecek has told TASR. The threat prompted the evacuation of the hotel. "Based on a decision by the hotel management, the premises were evacuated and bomb disposal specialists carried out an inspection with negative results," stated Pecek. The threat was received via email early on Thursday morning. The hotel then evacuated several hundred people, mostly foreign nationals. Evacuation buses were provided for their transport. Ruzinov borough assisted with temporary accommodation. "Colleagues from the local authority resolved the situation and made the gymnasium at Mierova Primary School available, which we prepared for such purposes," Ruzinov mayor Martin Chren reported on social media. mf/df
