Bratislava, 10 September (TASR) - EU Commissioner for Internal Affairs and Migration Magnus Brunner will arrive for an official visit to Slovakia on Thursday (11 September) morning, planning to meet Interior Minister Matus Sutaj Estok (Voice-SD) as part of the trip.
"During my visit, we'll discuss key migration policy issues, including the future of Ukrainians in Slovakia, progress in the implementation of the Pact on Migration and Asylum, and the urgent need to reach an agreement on the Return Regulation," Brunner told TASR.
In addition to the bilateral talks, Brunner will also hold informal meetings with young people from more than ten organisations as part of the Youth Policy Dialogue. "Dialogues with youth are very important to me - young people are the future of Europe, and it cannot be built without them," stressed the EU commissioner.
The main goal of this initiative is to encourage young people to express their opinions on EU policies via direct interaction with EU commissioners while ensuring that these positions are reflected in the European political agenda.
