Uzhhorod/Bratislava, 5 September (TASR) – Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy have agreed to organise the fourth joint session of the governments of Slovakia and Ukraine, with members of both cabinets scheduled to meet on 20 October in Slovakia, TASR learnt on Friday. According to Fico, Slovak–Ukrainian relations are a good example of how differing political views can sometimes be overshadowed by the essence of cooperation. He and President Zelenskyy agreed that their respective governments will stay in touch. Fico conveyed to Zelenskyy that both Ukraine and Slovakia have the right to protect their own national interests — but not at the cost of harming the national interests of another country.
