Police Detains Man Suspected of Armed Attack in Partizanske

Partizanske, 31 August (TASR) - Police tracked down and detained the man who reportedly caused the tragedy in the town of Partizanske (Trencin region) shortly after the incident on Saturday (30 August), head of the Trencin Police Directorate's communications department Ingrid Krajcikova has told TASR. The armed attack took place in one of the houses in Partizanske on Saturday afternoon. "The operations officer sent all forces available to the crime scene. Thanks to the quick and professional action, the police managed to track down and detain the suspect in a short time after the crime was committed," stated Krajcikova. According to Krajcikova, the police are currently taking procedural steps aimed at clarifying the incident. "We will provide more information as soon as the procedural situation allows it," she added. A 20-year-old pregnant woman was killed in the armed attack on Bezrucova Street on Saturday afternoon, succumbing to multiple gunshot wounds to her chest. Her 38-year-old partner was injured in the incident as well. He was transported to a hospital by air rescuers with multiple open wounds. ko
