Bratislava, 30 August (TASR) - A special postcard has been prepared for visitors to the Presidential Palace, containing flower seeds that can grow as a lasting memory, President Peter Pellegrini told the media on the occasion of the Open House Day taking place at the Presidential Palace on Saturday.
The president is pleased that the Open House Day in the Presidential Palace is being held concurrently with the one in Parliament for the first time in the history of Slovakia.
"A special postcard has been prepared, which is interesting in that if people don't throw it away, but plant it in the ground, it contains flower seeds, which will then grow as a lasting memory," explained the president. He said that a rich accompanying programme has been prepared for visitors to the palace as well. "State-run passenger carrier ZSSK is being promoted here and people from regions are offering their specialties," he outlined.
Pellegrini noted that the public can visit all the representative premises of the Presidential Palace as part of the Open House Day. "Many might have seen them only on TV until now as footage from ceremonial acts or various negotiations," he said.
The doors of the Presidential Palace are open to the public until 5 p.m. on Saturday. In addition to representative rooms, visitors will also be able to see state decorations of all kinds and the state seal of the Slovak Republic.
