Slovak Rectors Conference Voices Support for SAV Scientists

Bratislava, 28 August (TASR) – The Slovak Rectors Conference (SRK) expressed support for scientists of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAV) on Thursday in their efforts to provide the public with objective, evidence-based information grounded in facts, expert reasoning and mutual respect. In its official statement, SRK emphasised that SAV represents the highest scientific authority in the country, with its experts contributing to knowledge advancement in line with international standards and scientific ethics. SRK President Vladimír Hiadlovsky stated that the decision to publicly support SAV researchers is aimed at affirming the academic community's commitment to defending and promoting science in Slovakia. "Scientific work is fundamental to the development of society, the economy and education. It is the duty of universities and scientific institutions to stand together for knowledge, expertise and respect," said Hiadlovsky.
