Government Allocates Over €2 mn to Support Several Districts in Trnava Region

Senica, 27 August (TASR) - At its away-from-home session in Senica (Trnava region) on Wednesday, the government decided to allocate more than €2 million to improve the economic and social situation in the districts of Senica and Skalica (Trnava region) and the adjacent area. Of the total sum, more than €1.14 million will go to specific projects of local governments and other organisations in the districts of Skalica, Senica, Trnava and Piestany. For example, the government has allocated €125,000 for a project to renew pavements in the town of Holic, while the town of Skalica will receive €155,000 to build a carpark with a road connection to a emergency medical service facility. The town of Senica will obtain a subsidy of €160,000 to build a network of cycle paths. The government also tasked several ministers with preparing and implementing specific measures to improve the social and economic situation and living standards in the region. Transport Minister Jozef Raz (a Smer-SD nominee) should oversee the construction of a new bridge in the village of Jablonica over the Myjava River by the end of 2027. Environment Minister Tomas Taraba (a Slovak National Party/SNS nominee) should oversee the removal of sediment, blockages, trees and bushes from the beds of several watercourses in the Upper Zahorie area by the end of 2026. Health Minister Kamil Sasko (Voice-SD) has been tasked with assessing the options for supporting the development of spa treatment care at Smrdaky Spa. ko/df
