Bratislava, 26 August (TASR) – The work of scientists, universities, and research institutions is crucial in strengthening public trust in objective knowledge, the Slovak University of Technology (STU) in Bratislava stated in a message provided to TASR by its spokesperson Juraj Rybansky on Tuesday.
According to the university, the state should rely on scientific conclusions and communicate them clearly.
„Research findings are repeatable and verifiable, and therefore represent the most reliable path to truthful and effective solutions for society. The state should also rely on scientists' conclusions and be able to communicate them clearly and comprehensibly – only then can science truly serve society,” the university said.
STU also emphasised its appreciation for the work of researchers and scientific institutions, noting that their expertise and independent work bring forward facts necessary for societal decision-making.
The university added that it does not engage in political debates or disputes, but firmly believes that Slovakia's future depends on education, critical thinking, and respect – not only towards differing opinions but especially towards scientifically proven facts.
