The main goal of the meeting was to unite in prayer for peace in Ukraine, spokesperson of the Presov Archeparchy Michal Pavlisinovic informed.
The event was attended by Ukraine's top officials, international partners from over 50 countries, representatives of churches, charities, and the families of fallen soldiers. Attendees received greetings by letter from Pope Leo XIV and Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople Bartholomew I.
President Zelenskyy concluded the event by thanking everyone for the shared prayer, support, and solidarity with Ukraine.
While in Kyiv, Jonas Maxim met with Ukraine's Archbishop Sviatoslav Shevchuk to hand over a monetary donation from the priests of the Presov Archeparchy. The money is intended for priests serving in the poorest regions of eastern Ukraine.
In the coming days, almost ten tons of humanitarian aid collected in Presov Archeparchy will also arrive in Ukraine.
