Bratislava/Budapest, 22 August (TASR) - The Ukrainian army has attacked the Druzhba oil pipeline infrastructure on the Russian territory three times in nine days and supplies via this pipeline, which also transports oil to Slovakia and Hungary, have thus been suspended, and the Slovak and Hungarian Foreign Affairs Ministers, Juraj Blanar (Smer-SD) and Peter Szijjarto, respectively, have sent a joint open letter to EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas and EU Commissioner for Energy Dan Jorgensen on Friday concerning this.

Brussels, 22 August (TASR) - Major General Slavomir Vercimak has been formally installed as a representative of the Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) during a session of the NATO Military Committee, thereby becoming the highest-ranking Slovak officer in NATO military structures, TASR reported on Thursday (21 August) based on a statement from the Slovak Armed Forces.

Spisske Vlachy, 22 August (TASR) - One person was killed in a collision between a bus and a car between the villages of Spisske Vlachy and Spissky Hrusov (Kosice region) at around 9 a.m. on Friday morning, spokesperson for the regional Kosice Firefighter and Emergency Corps Directorate Jozef Balint has told TASR, adding that four other people were seriously injured.
