HaZZ: One Person Killed in Collision between Bus and Car in Spisske Vlachy

Spisske Vlachy, 22 August (TASR) - One person was killed in a collision between a bus and a car between the villages of Spisske Vlachy and Spissky Hrusov (Kosice region) at around 9 a.m. on Friday morning, spokesperson for the regional Kosice Firefighter and Emergency Corps Directorate Jozef Balint has told TASR, adding that four other people were seriously injured. According to initial reports, there are a total of ten injured at the scene, with four of them in a very serious condition. The bus ended up in a ditch off the road, where it came to a stop near a tree. Balint said that it is currently unclear whether the person killed was in the bus or the car. All emergency services are on site, including two professional firefighting units from the nearby towns of Krompachy and Spisska Nova Ves. "Road II/536 road is impassable in both directions. All components of the integrated rescue system are at the scene," the Kosice Regional Police Directorate has reported. jrg/df/ko
