Two Minors Die in Flat Fire in Bratislava

Bratislava, 19 August (TASR) - Paramedics were unable to resuscitate two minors following a fire in a flat in Bratislava's borough of Ruzinov on Tuesday, TASR reported on the same day based on information published by the Emergency Medical Services Operations Centre (OS ZZS) on social media. All emergency services are currently on the scene, noted OS ZZS, adding that "paramedics are treating two adults on the spot, but two minors could not be revived." According to information provided by the Fire and Rescue Corps, 25 firefighters are engaged in extinguishing the fire and evacuating the residents from the block of flats. They are being assisted by volunteer firefighters from Ruzinov. "Today, on 19 August, a fire in a block of flats on Hrachova Street in Ruzinov was reported shortly before 13:00," TASR was told by Bratislava Regional Police spokesperson Michal Szeiff. jrg/df
