GIB EnergyX Slovakia Launches Preparatory Work for Battery Plant Project

Surany, 15 August (TASR) - GIB EnergyX Slovakia began preparatory work on Friday on the land of the future battery plant in Surany (Nitra region), TASR learnt from the company's CEO Pavol Krokos on the same day. The preparatory work will be carried out in accordance with valid building permits. Access to the construction site will be prohibited for unauthorised persons. The construction site will be properly marked with warning signs. The preparatory activities will also include the construction of an access road and a temporary intersection. Traffic will be temporarily restricted on the I/64 first class road, which connects Nitra region via Topolcany, Nitra, Surany, and Nove Zamky all the way to Komarno. Over the course of the next week, traffic signs will be placed on this main road informing drivers of a reduction in the maximum speed limit from 90 to 50 kilometers per hour. Alternative routes will be available. The contractor for the preparatory work was selected by GIB EnergyX Slovakia based on a tender. In addition to price, other criteria such as the quality of the technical elements, the proposed implementation schedule, the experience of the implementation team and the environmental aspects of the construction were also taken into consideration.
