Bratislava, 13 August (TASR) - Montenegrin President Jakov Milatovic on Wednesday telephoned his Slovak counterpart Peter Pellegrini to ask for Slovakia's help with the massive fires the country is currently facing, TASR has learnt from Pellegrini's post on a social network on Wednesday. The Slovak head of state declared that Slovakia will send firefighters to Montenegro as soon as possible, as they are currently helping in Albania. "I spoke with the interior minister [Matus Sutaj Estok (Voice-SD)], who informed me that our helicopter and its crew are currently helping to extinguish fires in Albania. However, as soon as it's possible, we'll move the assistance to Montenegro. I thank the Slovak firefighters for their deployment and assistance in several European countries. I firmly believe that the situation will be brought under control as soon as possible," added Pellegrini. am/mcs
