Bratislava, 11 August (TASR) - House Chair Richard Rasi (Voice-SD) has convened an extraordinary session of the House for Wednesday (13 August) to discuss the opposition's proposal for the removal of Health Minister Kamil Sasko (Voice-SD) from his post, TASR was told by Parliament's communications department on Monday. A proposal by a group of MPs for a no-confidence motion in Sasko will be the only item on the agenda of the 38th session convened for Wednesday (13 August), beginning at 9 a.m., the department has stated. The session was initiated by the opposition, with the tender for operating ambulance services cited as the reason for Sasko's ouster. Opposition MPs also complained that the competition is not transparent and that its winners have been agreed in advance. The proposal for Sasko's dismissal was submitted to Parliament on Friday (8 August). Based on a request which must be signed by at least one fifth of MPs, the House chair is obliged to call a parliamentary session within seven days. jrg/df/ko
