PPA Launches eFarmer Mobile Application for Direct Support Applicants

Bratislava, 6 August (TASR) - The Agricultural Payment Agency (PPA) is launching the eFarmer mobile application, which in its initial version will facilitate communication between direct support applicants and the agency. The application is available for both iOS and Android operating systems. Its initial functionality is oriented towards farmers, applicants, who will be able to make so-called geotagged photos for the agency directly in the field. "The application for farmers is another step towards improving the functioning of the entire agricultural sector. Everyday honest work for our farmers brings results. These are real solutions," said Agriculture Minister Richard Takac (Smer-SD). Using the eFarmer application is free of charge, applicants' login details are the same as for the GSAA system, through which they can continue to communicate with the agency. "With this step, the Agricultural Paying Agency has moved not only into the 21st century, but especially towards simplifying processes, both for applicants and for the agency itself. In the first stage, the application brings the possibility of creating and managing your geotagged photos. We'll introduce other novelties to the sector soon. We have big plans with the app, which will result in a smaller burden for the farmers themselves and the elimination of red tape, which has been plaguing the farm sector for a long time," stated PPA general director Marek Cepko. ko/mcs
