Krupa: Interior Ministry Shelling Out Tens of Millions for Consultancy

6. augusta 2025 14:05
Bratislava, 6 August (TASR) – The Interior Ministry is shelling out tens of millions of euros on consultancy services, with one of the latest contracts, for a crisis management concept, being worth €1.2 million, opposition Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) MP Juraj Krupa told a press conference on Wednesday, asking why such materials are not being prepared by the ministry's internal staff. Krupa pointed out that the Interior Ministry has had a crisis management concept in place since 2023 and that it's expected to remain valid until 2027. According to him, the concept prepared by the external contractor will bring no benefits. "Basically, there was nothing new in it. Nothing new has been identified. What it's come up with is insufficient funding, inefficient management and the need for investments in civilian protection shelters, etc.," said Krupa, adding that, in the end, the concept will not even be implemented in practice despite having been okayed by the government. jrg/df/ko
