Bratislava, 29 July (TASR) - The largest electricity producer in Slovakia, Slovenske elektrarne (SE), has signed a contract with the multinational Urenco Group for the supply of enriched uranium, SE said on its website, adding that the contract will ensure the supply of enriched uranium for the nuclear power plants in Jaslovske Bohunice (Trnava region) and Mochovce (Nitra region) until the mid-2030s. "Thanks to our future cooperation with Urenco, we'll be able to diversify our business relationships. This will significantly help us to continue to maintain stable and safe operation of our nuclear power plants," said Slovenske elektrarne head Branislav Strycek. According to SE, the partnership is proof of the company's long-term efforts to diversify nuclear fuel suppliers and strengthen Slovakia's energy security. am/mcs
