Stats: Industrial Producer Prices Fell Nearly 1 percent Y-o-Y in June

Bratislava, July 28 (TASR) - Industrial producer prices for the domestic market saw an almost 1 percent drop year-on-year (y-o-y) in June and, in total for the first six months of 2025, the prices were up 0.5 percent, the Statistics Office reported on Monday. On a monthly basis, the prices increased by 0.4 percent. Lower prices in industry were reported despite the fact that only three out of the 16 monitored segments actually saw a year-on-year drop. The highest decline in prices was seen in the production of coke and oil products, by more than 14 percent, and in the delivery of electricity, steam, natural gas and cold air, as one of the strongest industries in terms of market share, by almost 5 percent. Of the 13 segments where producer prices have increased y-o-y, most of them saw a rise by up to 2 percent y-o-y, including the manufacturing of means of transport. Prices of industrial products for export were 0.5 percent higher than the year before, while they remained unchanged on a monthly basis. In total for the first half of 2025, the prices of industrial products for export were 0.8 percent higher than the year before. jrg/mcs/ko
