SHMU Issues 3rd-level Alert again Rain for Four Districts in North of Slovakia

Bratislava, 27 July (TASR) - A third-level alert against rain is in place for the districts of Povazska Bystrica, Puchov (both Trencin region), Bytca and Cadca (both Zilina region), the Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMU) reports on its website on Sunday. At the same time, hydrologists are warning of flooding, prompting them to issue a 2nd-degree alert for the districts of Ilava, Puchov (Trencin region), Zlate Moravce, Levice (Nitra region) and Krupina (Banska Bystrica region). The 1st-level warning is in place for some districts in Nitra, Trencin and Banska Bystrica regions. SHMU points out on a social network that the precipitation band won't move significantly in the next few hours, while later in the evening and at night the precipitation will move to the north of Slovakia, especially to Zilina region and the Tatra mountains. am
