Kia Slovakia to Suspend Production for Two Weeks Due to Operational Break

Teplicka nad Vahom, 25 July (TASR) - Carmaker Kia Slovakia will suspend production at its plant in Teplicka nad Vahom (Zilina region) for almost two weeks as part of the plant-wide summer operational break, company spokesman Tomas Potocek informed TASR on Friday. According to Potocek, the operational break will last until August 8. "This period will be used to implement several maintenance and modernisation projects that can only be carried out while the production lines are out of operation. We're also fine-tuning the technologies, procedures and settings of lines necessary to launch production of the first fully electric EV4 model," said Potocek. ko/df
