Trade Unions at ZSR End Strike Alert after Agreement on Salary Increase

Bratislava, 24 July (TASR) - The Railway Workers Union has ended the strike alert on the basis of the signed agreement on remuneration of employees of state-run rail-infrastructure operator ZSR for 2025, ZSR trade union leader Peter Hoffman stated on Thursday. As ZSR informed on Monday (21 July), the rail-infrastructure operator and the Rail Workers Union ended the collective bargaining with an agreement. The salaries of railway workers will thus increase as of July by 4.8 percent up to and including tariff class 12 and by €45 per month from and including tariff class 13 up to and including the contractual salaries. At the same time, an amendment was signed on an extraordinary bonus of €400 to be paid on Railway Workers' Day. Collective bargaining at ZSR lasted several months. According to the company, all parties had to make concessions and it cannot be said that anyone left the table after signing the addendum to the collective agreement truly satisfied. am
