Pellegrini Welcomes New Ambassadors of Georgia and Spain

Bratislava, 24 July (TASR) – President Peter Pellegrini received new Georgian Ambassador to Slovakia Konstantin Kvachakidze and new Spanish Ambassador Sofia Ruiz del Arbol Moro at an introductory audience at the Presidential Palace on Thursday. Both ambassadors presented their letters of credence, reported the President's Office press department. President Pellegrini wished the newly appointed diplomats a great deal of success in their missions and highlighted the good relations between Slovakia and their respective countries, noting their potential for deepening ties and expanding cooperation. Kvachakidze is a career diplomat who previously served as ambassador to Cyprus. He's also represented Georgia at its permanent missions to the Council of Europe and the OSCE. For diplomat Ruiz del Arbol Moro, Slovakia is her first ambassadorial post. She's worked in diplomacy for over 20 years, holding various posts at consulates in Jerusalem, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador and Nicaragua. She's come to Slovakia from her previous role as consul general in Miami. mf/df
