HaZZ: Increased Risk of Fire in Place for 20 Districts

Bratislava, 23 July (TASR) – An increased risk of fire was put in place in 20 districts on Wednesday, the Fire and Rescue Corps (HaZZ) has posted on social media. The districts include Bratislava, Pezinok, Senec (all Bratislava region), Dunajska Streda, Skalica (both Trnava region), Komarno, Nove Zamky, Levice (all Nitra region), Zarnovica, Banska Stiavnica, Krupina, Velky Krtis, Ziar nad Hronom, Zvolen, Banska Bystrica, Rimavska Sobota (all Banska Bystrica region), Roznava, Trebisov, Michalovce, and Sobrance (all Kosice region). During an increased fire risk, people are prohibited from smoking and using open flames in forest areas in places with an increased risk of fire. It is also forbidden to burn vegetation, bushes and trees or to start fires in areas or places where they could spread. It is also prohibited to start fires in designated fire pits and in forests. am/df
