Bratislava, 19 July (TASR) - President Peter Pellegrini won't comment on initiatives by coalition Slovak National Party (SNS) chairman Andrej Danko. "He expects the SNS chairman, as a member of the governing coalition, to work for the people and address problems of Slovakia," president's spokesperson Patricia Medved Macikova told TASR on Saturday. At the same time, she pointed to the fact that the current president receives a salary based on the same law as his predecessors Andrej Kiska and Zuzana Caputova did. SNS earlier in the day announced that it will submit a proposal for a 50-percent cut in the president's salary from €18,000 to €9,000 to the September House session. It believes that president should have lower salary than premier with regards to the character of his duties and the scope of rights under the Constitution. SNS claims that its proposal aims at fair remuneration of constitutional officials. ko
