Nine New Political Parties Currently Seeking to Form in Slovakia

Bratislava, 19 July (TASR) - Nine new political parties are currently seeking to form in Slovakia, according to notices regarding the collection of signatures published on the Interior Ministry's website. The list of emerging parties includes entities called Together, Jilo, United Slavs, the Farmers Movement, Danube, Kosice Movement 2030, Society Slovakia, Right to Truth and Roma East. Kosice Movement 2030 is being prepared by Kosice mayor Jaroslav Polacek and is set to be a regional political party. Bankruptcy lawyer Zoroslav Kollar is behind the emerging Right to Truth party. At least 10,000 signatures are required to register a party. If they meet all the conditions set by the law, the Interior Ministry registers them. According to the political parties registry, some 54 political parties and movements are currently active in Slovakia, while over 100 political parties are in liquidation. ko/df
