Brussels/Bratislava, July 18 (TASR-correspondent) – The European Commission on Friday released its proposed allocation of nearly €2 trillion under the new Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) for 2028–2034, with Slovakia set to receive €19.9 billion. This places the country 12th among the 27 EU member states, according to TASR’s Brussels correspondent. The Commission's document shows that Poland is projected to be the largest beneficiary, with €123.3 billion in current prices. It is followed by France (€90.1 billion), Spain (€88.1 billion), Italy (€86.6 billion), Germany (€68.4 billion), and Romania (€60.2 billion). Among the Visegrad Four (V4: Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia) countries, Slovakia is set to receive the smallest share due to its size. The Czech Republic is allocated €29.4 billion, and Hungary €37.7 billion. For Slovakia, the proposed breakdown includes €18.3 billion for general expenditures, €0.4 billion for migration management, asylum policy, security, and internal affairs, and €1.2 billion for the Social Climate Fund. mf
