SNS Supports Premier in Not Voting for 18th Package of Anti-Russian Sanctions

Bratislava, 16 July (TASR) - The junior governing Slovak National Party (SNS) supports Premier Robert Fico (Smer-SD) in not voting for the 18th EU package of anti-Russian sanctions, SNS spokeswoman Zuzana Skopcova informed TASR on Wednesday. At the same time, SNS urged the premier to do his best to block this package in its entirety and not to believe what it called the deceptive games of the European Commission. "For a long time, the Russian side was accused of spreading alarming messages about bomb attacks at schools, originating from the Russian Federation. Today's detention in Ukraine, which proved that a Ukrainian national did it, should also point to hoaxes that are being spread here to fuel Russophobia. We should support a resumption of common sense," stated SNS. Skopcova added that without Russian raw materials, oil, gas and nuclear fuel, the economies of both the EU and Slovakia will completely collapse. ko/df
