French Day to Be Held in Centre of Bratislava on Monday Afternoon

Bratislava, 14 July (TASR) - A French national holiday, the anniversary of the storming of the Bastille and the beginning of the French Revolution, will be celebrated again in Bratislava with a cultural programme starting on the Main Square at 4 p.m. on Monday, the French Institute in Bratislava has informed TASR. "Visitors will have an opportunity to stroll through a French market on the Main Square, where 20 stalls will offer them refreshment in the form of delicious desserts, cheeses and drinks," announced the French Institute, which will offer creative activities for children and youth as part of the French Day 2025 programme. "The cultural programme will be held in Slovak and French under the guidance of actress Lucia Hurajova. The RDS ART Group - Joris Yacoub ensemble will perform dances. The programme also includes performances by participants in the 'I Sing in French' competition," said the French Institute. The celebrations will culminate at 8 p.m. with a concert by the Desert Desir band. ko/df
