New Petrzalka Tram Line to Launch on July 27, Bus Routes to Be Adjusted

Bratislava, 13 July (TASR) - In exactly two weeks - on Sunday, 27 July - a new tram line will be launched into operation in Bratislava’s Petrzalka borough. The extension of Line 3, along with increased service frequency, will lead to the cancellation of overlapping routes — bus Lines 95 and 59, as well as tram Line 7. Bus Line 192 will also be shortened, terminating at the Jungmannova stop when heading toward Petrzalka. The Bratislava Transport Company (DPB) has no plans for a broader reorganization of public transport in Petrzalka at this time. „Any future changes to other lines in Petrzalka will depend on real data we evaluate after the tram line enters service. Adjustments will reflect the new and evolving habits of passengers,” DPB spokesperson Jozef Vozar told TASR. mf
