Police: Woman Stabs Husband in Chest with Kitchen Knife after Argument

Prievidza, 11 July (TASR) - A police investigator from Prievidza (Trencin region) has initiated criminal proceedings concerning the offence of causing bodily harm against a 40-year-old woman who stabbed her husband in the chest following an argument, TASR has learnt from Trencin regional police spokeswoman Petra Klenkova. "A 40-year-old woman attacked her 43-year-old husband following a verbal altercation. She stabbed him in the chest area with a kitchen knife. By doing so, she inflicted a stab wound that required him to receive medical treatment and be admitted into hospital,“ stated the spokeswoman. Police officers arrested the woman after carrying out the necessary procedural steps and placed her in a detention cell. "Criminal investigators are at the scene, carrying out initial procedural actions, including an examination of the crime scene. Due to this, it's not possible to provide further information on the matter at the moment," added Klenkova. lin/df
