Bratislava, 7 July (TASR) - The Interior Ministry has purchased 20 off-road 4x4 vehicles for its canine units at a total cost of over €1.5 million, with the vehicles to be supplied by T.O.P. Auto Bratislava, according to a contract published in the central register.
"The contract is being co-financed by the European Union under the Financial Support Tool for Border Management and Visa Policy," the document states.
The unit price of each vehicle, including VAT, is just under €77,000. Three of the vehicles will be supplied in dark green, while the remaining 17 are set to come in silver. The vehicles are equipped with 210-kilowatt engines and eight-speed automatic transmission.
The company is required to supply the vehicles within 115 calendar days from the effective date of the contract. However, according to the register, the contract has not yet come into force.
"This contract will take effect only after the public procurement process is approved by the provider of the non-repayable financial contribution – following the issue of a positive audit report on the procurement process,” the document notes.
